Most people who apply to Maruti Suzuki know the first step and the last one: you send an application, and one day you might get an offer letter. What happens in between is a blur, and that blur is where many good candidates lose out. This guide opens up each stage so you know what is coming before it arrives.
We look at three separate tracks, because each has its own routine: plant roles such as apprentices and temporary workmen at the Gurugram, Manesar, Kharkhoda and Hansalpur plants of Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL); Graduate Engineer Trainees, who usually come in through campus hiring; and dealer roles at Arena, Nexa, True Value and service workshops, which are run by independent authorised dealers.
Plant and engineering openings are announced on MSIL’s official careers website, and apprenticeships go through apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Dealer jobs are filled by each dealer through its own process. The stages below describe how such selection typically works, not a fixed official syllabus. This is an independent guide, not the official website of Maruti Suzuki or any dealer.

About Maruti Suzuki’s Hiring Today
Maruti Suzuki is adding capacity at a steady pace. Production began at its first Kharkhoda plant in February 2025 and at the second in May 2026. Suzuki Motor Gujarat, owner of the Hansalpur plant, was merged into MSIL from 1 December 2025, and in July 2026 a fourth Hansalpur line started building the electric e VITARA.
The company has said clearly that all its recruitment information is published on its official careers website and that offers from any other source are not valid. That simple rule is your first filter: if a “selection process” did not start on an official channel, it is not a Maruti Suzuki selection process.

Applying as a Fresher
Freshers often worry that they will be judged against experienced workers. In practice, entry-level selection checks whether you have the basics right: the correct qualification, a clear understanding of your trade, good health and the discipline to follow safety rules.
For an ITI fresher, an apprenticeship is usually the cleanest first application, because the process is standardised on a government portal. For an engineering student, campus placement season is the key window. For a graduate who wants a customer-facing job, applying to a reputed local dealer is the fastest route.
Whatever your track, apply only for roles that match your qualification exactly. Many applications are rejected simply because the trade or branch does not match the notice.
Training Programs Before and After Selection
Good training before you apply makes every stage easier.
Japan-India Institutes for Manufacturing
Maruti Suzuki runs JIMs with state governments, such as JIM Kansala in Rohtak, combining the NCVT syllabus with Japanese shop-floor practices like Kaizen.
Partner Government ITIs
The company supports about 50 government ITIs, giving students exposure to factory-style equipment.
Apprenticeship Training
Apprentices learn on the line under supervision and receive a stipend as per apprenticeship rules.
Induction After Joining
New joiners generally go through safety and process induction before working independently.
