Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) runs the country’s main oil refineries at Mina Al-Ahmadi and Mina Abdullah, and these plants need process operators, maintenance crews and safety staff all year, with extra manpower during planned shutdowns. This guide on KNPC Refinery Jobs in Kuwait explains how the hiring really works, the indicative pay and how to apply without falling for scams.
We are not claiming that a specific KNPC vacancy has just opened. Instead, KNPC and its contractors regularly need refinery manpower, and this page shows you where to look for current openings. Like other companies in the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) group, KNPC gives priority to Kuwaiti nationals for its own permanent jobs, so most foreign workers join refinery projects through maintenance, turnaround and EPC contractors.
This is an independent guide, not KNPC’s official website. Always confirm openings on the official KNPC website or the official portal of the contractor that is hiring.

About KNPC in Kuwait
KNPC is the downstream refining company of the KPC group. Its two large coastal refineries at Mina Al-Ahmadi and Mina Abdullah were upgraded under the Clean Fuels Project to produce cleaner fuels for local use and export. KNPC also handles gas processing at Mina Al-Ahmadi.
Note that the newer Al-Zour refinery is operated by a separate KPC company, Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), so its jobs are not KNPC jobs. Many fake posts mix the names, so check which company is actually hiring.

Can Indians and Other Foreign Workers Apply?
Yes, but mostly through contractors. KNPC’s own permanent jobs are focused on Kuwaiti nationals as part of Kuwaitization in the oil sector. Indian, Filipino, Pakistani and other skilled workers usually reach KNPC refineries through maintenance service contractors, turnaround specialists and EPC companies.
Getting an offer letter does not mean you have a visa. Your employer must obtain a work permit from Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower and then process your residence. Do not assume sponsorship unless it is written in your contract, and never buy a visa from anyone.
Refinery Training
Every worker must complete refinery safety induction before getting a site pass.
Safety Induction
Covers H2S, fire hazards, permits, confined space entry and evacuation routes.
Trade Certification
Scaffolders, riggers and welders usually need recognised certificates and may be re-tested on site.
Unit Familiarisation
Operators learn the specific unit, its procedures and alarm limits before working independently.
