Anúncios
The Riyadh Metro is one of the largest driverless metro systems in the world, with six lines, about 176 km of track and around 85 stations across the Saudi capital. Even though the trains run without drivers, every station needs people to help passengers, keep things safe and maintain equipment. That is why Riyadh Metro station staff jobs are a common search for job seekers in Saudi Arabia and abroad.
The network opened in phases from late 2024 and is now part of daily life in Riyadh. It is owned by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, while operation and maintenance are handled by specialist operating companies. For example, Capital Metro Company (CAMCO), a joint venture of France’s RATP Dev and the Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO), operates Lines 1 and 2 under a long-term contract.
Despite the “Just Opened” headline, this independent guide does not announce a particular vacancy. The metro’s operators and their contractors hire on a rolling basis, and below we explain how to find and apply for current openings. This is not an official Riyadh Metro, RCRC or operator website.

About the Riyadh Metro
The Riyadh Metro is the backbone of the city’s public transport project, alongside a large bus network. Its six colour-coded lines – Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and Purple – connect business districts, universities, King Khalid International Airport and residential areas. The Red Line alone runs more than 25 km with 15 stations, according to RATP Dev.
Because the trains are automated, the human workforce focuses on stations, control centres and maintenance depots. Staff guide passengers, sell and check tickets, watch platforms, respond to incidents and keep escalators, lifts, doors and trains in perfect working order.

Can Indians and Other Foreign Workers Apply?
For station staff roles, mostly no. Customer service and passenger-facing jobs in Saudi Arabia are heavily localised, and private security is reserved for Saudi nationals, so station agents, supervisors and security officers on the Riyadh Metro are primarily recruited from Saudi citizens.
Foreign workers have better chances in technical and support work: experienced rolling stock and systems technicians, signalling and power engineers, and staff employed by maintenance, cleaning and facility management contractors. Senior international specialists are also sometimes hired by the operating companies.
A job offer is not a visa. Your employer must sponsor your work visa and iqama through Qiwa. Never assume sponsorship unless it is written in your offer letter.
