Many job seekers search for Bahrain International Airport jobs because the airport is one of the biggest workplaces in the Kingdom. It is important to know one thing first: the airport is not a single employer. Bahrain International Airport (BIA) on Muharraq Island is a workplace where several different companies hire their own staff.
The airport is operated and managed by Bahrain Airport Company (BAC). Ground handling, cargo and catering are run by Bahrain Airport Services (BAS). Gulf Air hires its own crew and airline staff, and the terminal also has duty-free shops, cafés, restaurants, cleaning, maintenance and security contractors. Each of them advertises jobs separately.
This guide does not claim that a specific vacancy is open right now. It explains which employers regularly hire at Bahrain airport, what the jobs pay indicatively in BHD, the rules for foreign workers and how to find and apply for current openings safely. It is an independent guide, not an official airport website.

About Bahrain International Airport
Bahrain International Airport is the Kingdom’s only international airport and the home base of Gulf Air. A new passenger terminal opened in 2021, greatly increasing capacity and adding modern retail and dining areas. The airport handles passenger flights, cargo and aircraft maintenance, which creates a wide mix of jobs.
Bahrain Airport Company is the government-owned operator responsible for running the terminal, airport operations, facilities and commercial areas. BAC has also run training programmes for young Bahrainis, such as its graduate training initiatives and technical programmes for ground support equipment. Airport security and immigration are handled by government authorities and are not open to foreign applicants.

These are indicative ranges from public job ads and salary surveys. Pay differs a lot between employers. Bahraini nationals in government-linked companies often earn more than the lower ranges shown, while contractor jobs may include accommodation and transport instead of higher cash pay.
Can Indians and Other Foreign Workers Apply?
Yes, but it depends on the employer and role. Bahrain’s LMRA enforces Bahrainisation, and government-linked airport companies such as BAC and BAS employ a high share of Bahraini staff. Operations, customer service and office roles at these companies are mostly filled by Bahraini nationals.
Foreign workers, including many Indians, Filipinos, Nepalis and Sri Lankans, more commonly work at the airport through private employers: duty-free and retail brands, café and restaurant operators, cleaning and facility management contractors, and maintenance firms. Skilled technicians with good experience also have chances.
A job offer is not a visa. The company that hires you must apply for your LMRA work permit. All airport workers also need an airport security pass, which is issued only after the employer applies and checks are cleared.
