Can Indians and Other Foreign Workers Apply?
Yes, many back-of-house hotel roles are still open to foreign workers, but localisation is increasing. Saudi Arabia announced a phased Saudization of 41 tourism professions. From 22 April 2026, receptionist, hotel receptionist, information clerk and telephone operator roles became 100% reserved for Saudi nationals, with set percentages for roles such as sales specialist, restaurant host and housekeeping supervisor. Chefs face a 30% localisation target from January 2027, and hotel and F&B manager roles face 50% from January 2028.
That still leaves room for expat room attendants, stewards, cooks, waiters and technicians. If you are selected from abroad, the hotel’s employing company sponsors your work visa and iqama. A job offer is not a visa, and you should never assume sponsorship until it is confirmed in writing.
